The power behind the pen

A pen
can make you friends,
or it can make
a friendship end.

But I use my pen,
to meet my ends
and if God willing,
make some friends.

There will be times,

when your pen will offend
and also leave happy grins.

Nevertheless
you still need to be cautious
on what you write with your pen,
cause this can attract
the selfish greedy friends.

You know the ones,
ever time they see food,
their mouths open
and their elbows bend.

When famous

When your famous,
its their money
that acknowledges you first.
Because before,
you didn’t belong
to their greedy little world.

Their the first to want something from you
and the last to tell you thank you.
But don’t they know,
we all started off from the same money cloth.

Words of passion

My words are built upon passion and soul
while staying in control.
Regardless how my words come about,
you’ll never see me pout.

But stay true,
so my words will always stick like glue.
Every word that beats from chest,
will continue to have good flavor
so it’s easy to digest.

The unbreakable

Everyday brings forth new battles
and hustles,
but somebody
keeps trying to bust down
the walls of my castle.

So for protection,
I use my pen as a sword,
and paper as my shield.

I do this to write
how,and whatever I feel.

You can break my pen
and crumble my paper.

But this will never stops me,
it’ll only drive me.
I will always find a way
to let my haters hear, and read
what I have to say.

So if they don’t like the words I play on,
next time,
I will treat them like a child,
and write it in crayon.

Painted Smile

My heart would place dreams
inside my mind about you.

Because before I met you,
my heart already knew you.
It was my mind and body
that needed to catch up.

I was just breathing,
and not living.

When my eyes first saw you,
it was déjà vu
it was at that point,
one life became two.

The love within my heart,
painted a permanent smile on your face,
that the world can never erase,
or replace.

Seeing your smile,
is better then any sunrise.

Every smile you make,
gives meaning to each breath I take.

My daily goal
is to do whatever it takes,
to keep that smile on your face.

Unfazed Words

You may keep my mouth from talkin,
but you can’t keep my pen from writing.

The words I write deliver so much heat,
they melt right off the page.

My words are so deep,
no amount of water can contain them.

You can try to tame,
change or even rearrange them,
but it’s too late!!
you had your chance.

So guess what,
I’m the one with the final laugh .

Loud secrets

You may think you can hide your secrets,
but it’s your actions,
that tell a different story.

Every secret is uncovered in the dark,
with just the slightest spark.
When it’s not dealt with,
your secrets get louder and louder.

Secrets just cannot be swept,
under the shelter of a rug.
It’s you conscious,
that will continue to drag
the rug from underneath you.

Until you face them,
they’ll always pursue you,
and will always find it’s way back to you.

The heart that bled red tears

Your cries of pain
began like the lightest drizzle of rain
to a loud rolling thunder in the sky.

By the time I heard the thunder,
it was too late.
Lightning already struck
and you were gone .

All that’s left,
are your pictures in my mind.

Over the years my negative faces
and words were very hurtful .

It’s was as if my words,
cut your heart with tiny paper cuts.
But as time went by
the cuts got deeper.

So now with every positive word I speak,
from this day forward,
fills the holes of your broken heart.

Men write poetry too….

With pens as our paintbrushes
and the world as our canvas,
its our hearts,
that provides the ink to our pen.

The only way to make the world change ,
is to change their ideas
of what makes a real man.

Of course this all starts off with
the slightest drop of ink
from our pens.

At times our pens will leak
with our blood,
sweat and tears.

But that just shows the world
that we are man,
and that we have real feelings.
It’s more honorable for us men
to show more of our humility,
rather then to show more of our abilities .

Yes this might sound silly,
but remember, a man’s humility
can always over shadow their insecurities .

Behind the words

Some people say I’m to dark,
and I’m not talking about my skin,
its what I writing with my pen.

I know my words
can sometimes come out to strong,
but I’m like “oops sorry,
I’ll just turnover the page and start a new song.”

But depending how I’m feelin at that time,
determines how I write my rhymes.

And no matter what the day may bring,
I will always make my pen dance and sing,
from the joy that only The Lord can bring.

I will express myself
from every depths of my heart and mind,
with every one of my poetry lines.

So with every word that I write,
I’m relying on God’s glorious light.
