Painful words

The words I hold back,
leaves painful bite marks
making my tongue bleed,
leaving my mouth full of blood.

With the pain being so unbearable,
I realize speaking my mind is less painful.

So I will no longer bite my tongue
I will say whatever’s on my my mind
and let my words flow,
because I’m not here to be a people pleaser
and I’m defiantly not starting today.

New outlook

Yes it’s easier to write about the past.
But we all know this won’t last,
because time goes by too fast.

So I rather write about the future
and laugh at the dark past.

The past will try casting dark shadows,
but is quickly out shined
by God’s glorious light.

God writes and I recite

If people don’t like what my pen has to say,
then I suggest they look the other way.

God is the One,
who gave power to my pen
for everyday and every hour.

So whatever I write,
I don’t need anyone’s permission,
because I’m on God’s mission
and He has already paid my tuition.

The battle within

As I look upon this blank page,
my pen is constantly struggling.

Desperately trying,
to break free from its cage.

That’s when I new,
I needed to break free
from my writers block.

To go back to my drawing board,
and come up with a new plot.

There are times
I wish I can just say,
Hocus Pocus
and automatically be refocused.

Determined

With God inspiring me,
I don’t let haters infect me,
shake me, or break me.

They can try;
but I will always write,
even if they’d tried bribing me.
If they think for a second
that I only write for fame,
they are sadly mistaken.

Because Its all about the message
and the unity it brings.

A portrait of hate

People who practice racism,
are the last to admit weakness
and last to apologize.
Its not always obvious,
cause racism comes in all shapes,
colors and sizes.

People will paint your portrait
with so much hate.
But will be the last ones to admit
that they’re just really afraid.
So, they try hiding
in the comfort of the shade,
rather than facing the heat,
that fuels their rage.

That bitter rage that’s inside,
is from ignorance,
and the medias influence.

But before this world can fully recover,
we must first accept the fact
that our skins,have different colors.
But, when it’s all said and done,
it’s our hearts,
that are the same color.

Loving beyond words

Loving is more than words.
In fact, love is all about action.

Because talk is cheap
and shouldn’t be used,
for your own advantage .

But unfortunately,
people are using these words
just so they can make nice,
with the words I love you.

Sadly,
the problem is still there,
so you avoid it at all cost.

So if you face them,
you’d come to the conclusion
of what love truly means.

That is,
love goes above and beyond
any words or feelings.

True love is willingly to saying sorry first
even if you’re not wrong.

True love is even- tempered ,
even when they’re being hard-headed.

True love is being softhearted
when someone is being unbending.

True love listens,
even if their words don’t make sense.
When you finally understand
that life isn’t always perfect,
you’ll have more peace and less anger.

Trusting to love again

From the moment we met
my heart knew it would be in good hands.

You’re unselfish love towards me
is what pieced back together my heart,
from every pain I have ever faced.

So I know you will guard my heart
like a precious vase on your mantel.
Its nice to have someone looking at me
and not through me.

With this being said,
my heart is now full and content.
