Day after day
of walking pass this mirror
things didn’t seem right.
Like there was a piece
missing in my life.
But on this particular morning
I felt like this day was going to be
the day that would change my life forever.
So as I walked pass the mirror,
I turned and looked into it
as I always normally do.
But for whatever reason
today I saw something different.
I saw what I was missing!
And the thing that was missing,
was finally before my eyes.
So the closer I looked into the mirror
not only did I just see my reflection,
but I saw the other piece of my soul
that has been missing this whole time.
As I reached into the mirror,
It smiled back at me
and whispered my name.

The moment I heard my name,
It was like hearing it for the first time.
and now my name took on a new meaning.
Now I can finally say,
I no longer feel like a empty shadow
that everyone ignored.
So life now takes on a new meaning.
Now I finally feel what it is to be truly loved,
and to be finally understood.

The beat of their hearts play a melody of love

and devotion,

that the world

will never comprehend.

Their love is strong

and never ending.

God brought them together

because they deserve to be

happy and truly experience love.

They might have obstacles

that may hinder them

to become one,

but neither loses hope

that God will grant

them their prayer.

The world

will never understand the connection

but they feel the red string

that connects both heart

across the miles.

Everyday I wait patiently for the return of my shadow

because things aren’t the same.
And I wish I knew

how many days

we’re in one day.
But I know that only

the day knows

when my shadow shall return

because only my shadow

knows me better than anyone.
Then one day

when I least expected it,

my shadow returned

we started dancing,

and I knew all other dances

were out of rhythm.
I finally feel free from judgement.

and now

dancing takes on a new meaning.
